Terms of Service
Effective date: 9 July 2026
These terms of service govern your use of the Paari mobile application and website.
1. The service
Paari is a technology platform that connects riders seeking transportation with independent drivers. Paari is not a transportation carrier. Drivers are independent providers, not employees or agents of Paari.
2. Your account
You must be at least 18, provide accurate information, and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity on your account. One account per person.
3. Riders
Fare estimates are shown before booking and calculated using Fiji's regulated taxi rates (flagfall + per-kilometre on the actual driving route + waiting time). The final fare is payable directly to the driver in cash or via M-PAiSA. Repeated cancellations or abusive behaviour may result in account suspension.
4. Drivers
Drivers must hold a valid Fiji driving licence, maintain a registered and roadworthy vehicle, and comply with all applicable transport laws and permit requirements. Driver applications are subject to verification and approval, which we may grant or revoke at our discretion. Paari charges drivers no fees or commission — drivers keep 100% of every fare. Drivers are responsible for their own taxes, fuel, insurance, and vehicle costs.
5. Conduct
No unlawful, threatening, or abusive behaviour; no discrimination; no use of the platform for anything other than requesting or providing rides. Both riders and drivers may rate each other; consistently poor conduct may lead to suspension or removal ("banning") at our discretion.
6. Payments & fees
All ride payments occur directly between rider and driver in cash or via M-PAiSA. Paari does not process ride payments, does not charge riders or drivers any fees, and takes no commission — the service is free to use and funded by in-app advertising. Paari is not responsible for payment disputes between riders and drivers, though our support team will assist in good faith.
7. Availability & liability
The service is provided "as is". We do not guarantee driver availability, uninterrupted operation, or error-free software. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Paari is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for the acts or omissions of riders or drivers. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Fijian law.
8. Termination
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time ( paarifiji.com/delete-account). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
9. Changes
We may update these terms; continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be announced in the app.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Fiji.
